Remote transactions
Sometimes you need to start or stop a session without someone tapping a card at the charger: helping a driver over the phone, testing a newly added charger, or ending a session that was left running. Operations → Remote transaction lets you do that from the dashboard.
Start a session remotely
- Go to Operations → Remote transaction.
- Choose the charger (and connector, if it has more than one).
- Provide the ID token to start the session under, and confirm.
- GitCharger sends a remote-start command to the charger; the session appears in Transactions once it begins.
Stop a session remotely
Select the active session (or the charger) and send stop. The charger ends the session and reports the final meter values.
note
Remote control is a paid capability and depends on the charger being online and supporting the command. If the actions are unavailable, check that the charger is connected and see your plan.
