Firmware
Keeping charger firmware current fixes bugs, improves reliability, and unlocks features. Operations → Firmware is where you review firmware and roll updates out to chargers.
Update a charger's firmware
- Go to Operations → Firmware.
- Pick the firmware version (from the catalog) appropriate for the charger model.
- Select the charger(s) to update and confirm.
- GitCharger instructs the charger to download and install; progress is reported back as the charger moves through downloading and installing.
Before you update
- Update during a low-usage window (a charger is unavailable while it installs and reboots).
- Confirm the firmware matches the charger's vendor/model.
- Roll out to a small batch first, confirm it's healthy, then do the rest.
note
Firmware management depends on the charger's OCPP support and your plan. If the option is unavailable, confirm the charger is online and supports firmware updates, and check your plan.
