Charging profiles
A charging profile controls how a charger delivers power over time: capping output, scheduling load, or managing demand across a site. This is OCPP smart charging, separate from tariffs, which control price. Profiles live under Settings → Charging profiles.
What you can do
- Create a profile with a power or current limit and an optional schedule (periods with different limits across the day).
- Assign a profile to chargers so the limits take effect.
- Review which chargers a profile applies to and adjust as needs change.
Common uses
- Cap a charger below its rated output to stay within a site's electrical limits.
- Shift load to off-peak hours with a schedule.
- Protect a shared feed by limiting total draw across several chargers.
note
Smart charging depends on the charger's OCPP support and your plan. If charging profiles are unavailable, confirm the charger supports smart charging and check your plan.
